Children and youth tourism is one of the fundamental factors in the development of domestic tourism and the education of tourist culture. Tourism at Miras College is one of the important areas in educational work and there are all the possibilities for its development.

The students of the college are implementing a tourism and local history program “Rukhani Zhangyru” for a comprehensive study of the historical and natural heritage of Kazakhstan.

Excursion tourism

This type of tourism has a more educational and educational value for the younger generation. A visit to many objects is in the nature of an excursion, as a form and method of acquiring knowledge.

The northern branch of the Great Silk Road passes through the territory of our region. This section of the road is a unique complex of historical, archaeological and architectural monuments, including experience in the planning and construction of cities. Cities such as: Otrar, Sauran, Turkestan were not only centers of trade, but also scientific and cultural centers, which was supposed to be visited during the trip.

Within the framework of the “Rukhani Zhangyru” program, trips to sacred places were organized with students. The journey of Miras college students around their native land began in the cities of the Great Silk Road.

Excursion to Turkestan

In 2001, under the auspices of UNESCO, the 1,500th anniversary of Turkestan was celebrated, in 2004 the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yassawi was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The mosque was built over the grave of the “saint” revered by the locals, who lived in the 12th century, on the orders of the emir Timur, who wanted to instill in the nomad steppes the idea of the greatness of Allah. The construction of the mosque complex, which began in 1397, consisting of a tomb, a guest hall, a mosque and office space, lasted eight years. But due to the death of Timur, the greatest construction remained unfinished. And despite this, the mosque, as an architectural monument, makes a strong impression today. It is a medieval monument of world renown.

The mausoleum of Arystan Baba (XIV-XV centuries) is located along the route to Turkestan. It was built by one of the famous scientists (who studied all the religions of the world and chose Islam for himself), a teacher, spiritual mentor of Sufi Ahmed Yassawi.

The ancient fortification Otrar - Farab is located near the confluence of the Arys river into the Syr Darya, is the remains of a famous medieval city. It was one of the supporting fortresses of the nomads. The city is known for the fact that it was here that Abu Nasr Al-Farabi was born, and in 1405, heading to his troops, Timur died in one of the palaces. In Otrar, the name of Timur is associated with the construction of a mausoleum over the grave of Sufi Ahmed Yassavi. On the territory of Otrar there is a historical museum, a pottery workshop and an underground clay museum.

12 km from Shymkent, the ancient city of Isfijab is located - the “city on the white river”, located at the crossroads of caravan roads, was a craft and trade center and the main base of Islam, from where the Muslim religion spread to the steppe district - one of the religious centers of believers, a popular tourist destination .

The tour included a visit to the museum of the Otrar settlement in the village of Shaulder, the Arstanbab mausoleum (XIX century), the ruins of the Otrar settlement (XI - XII centuries), the complex of the mausoleum of Ahmed Yasavi, a visit to the gallery of stone sculptures, the historical museum of Azaret-Sultan, the archaeological museum , the gates of Darvaz (XIX century), the mausoleum of Esimkhan (XVI century), the mausoleum of Rabia Sultan Begim end (XV century), the mausoleum of Ahmed Yasawi (XII - XIV century), the Zhuma mosque (1878), the underground mosque of Khilovat (XII - XV centuries), eastern baths (XV - XVI centuries).

Ecological tourism

Ecological tourism (or ecotourism) is a special form of travel in which outdoor recreation is combined with knowledge of its objects and phenomena, it is a responsible journey to natural areas, areas that preserve the environment. There are 2 reserves in the Turkestan region: the oldest reserve in Kazakhstan - Aksu-Zhabagly (1926) and the youngest Karatau reserve (2004). As well as two national parks, the Sairam-Ugam GNPP and the Syr Darya-Turkestan natural park of regional significance. Excursions to national parks and reserves are informative, for students of Miras College it is a combination of educational, scientific, cultural and tourist excursions that run along specially equipped ecological routes. Most often, such ecological tours are organized in the territories of the Aksu-Zhabaglinsky State Nature Reserve, and Sairam-Ugamsky State National Natural Park. The objects of this type of ecotourism are some of the most interesting biological species of animals and plants, as well as natural zones, from the point of view of observation.

Sports tourism

The range of college travel and sports activities offered by the college is also huge. These are hiking and mountain hikes along the spurs of the Western Tien Shan and Karatau, participation in republican, regional, regional competitions, tours and alpiniads. Pupils receive great upbringing on hikes, especially in the mountains. Now there is no need to prove that the mountains and our time in the past were and remain a forge of high human qualities. Many were fortunate enough to spend several consecutive years communicating with the mountains, spending their holidays in hiking trips and mountain camps. They probably already know what they owe to the mountains and comrades "in a bunch." And already in the city, drawing up the next report or wall newspaper following the results of the campaign, the ideas of new travels and a feeling of love for our unique nature sprout in each group.
