The training program 6B01902 - “Defectology” is developed for training of personnel in the field of pedagogical sciences as part of the training of specialists in special pedagogy.
The goal of the training program 6B01902 - “Defectology” is to prepare a specialist, a teacher of a new generation, who possess practical skills and leadership qualities, is able to solve scientific, pedagogical, industrial and technological problems to implement correctional pedagogical, educational, developmental, consultative, diagnostic and analytical activities at educational and health institutions.
The educational program is designed in such a way that it can be adapted to the individual needs of each individual student within the framework of educational standards.
Features of the educational program:
- One of the key features of the program is the training of specialists to work with each child individually, taking into account his unique characteristics and needs. Students are provided with didactic materials and techniques to adapt the learning process to the individual needs of each student.
- The program includes extensive practice, including internships in special training and rehabilitation centers. Students gain experience working with children with various developmental disabilities under the supervision of experienced speech pathologists.
- The training program for a speech pathologist, a special teacher also includes the study of methods of cooperation with parents of children with developmental disabilities, as well as with other specialists (medical professionals, psychologists, social workers, etc.), which helps to create a favorable environment for the development of each child.
In order to develop additional competencies complementary to students chosen profile, Minor programs are implemented, which consist of a track of thematically related elective disciplines.
