In the modern world the knowledge of a foreign language, essentially, opens a window into the big global world with its enormous flow of information and innovations. A foreign language acquisition gives an opportunity of training abroad in world best higher education institutions and creates possibility to gain practical experience in advanced countries of the planet.
In this connection, at the university we pay attention to implementation of trilingual education aimed at preparation of competitive experts by introduction of innovative technologies of training in three languages into the educational process. The work on enforcement of lingual skills of the university students is focused on internationalization, successful adaptation of graduate students at the domestic and the international labour markets.
Teaching classes in a foreign language started in 2015-2016 educational year when for the students of some education programs it was decided to arrange study of a part of the disciplines in English as an experiment. In 2016 according to the decision of the Academic Council the program of introduction of trilingual education for 2016-2020 was approved. The aim of the program is implementation of trilingual education oriented to preparation of competitive experts by introduction of innovative technologies of training in three languages into the educational process. Step-by-step implementation of the program allowed to begin transition to training under the following principle: 50 % of subjects in the native language, 30 % of subjects in English, and 20 % of subjects in the second language.
In the process of teaching the classes under the polylingual program the teachers use various techniques of teaching which allow to combine studying of a subject and the language, that is to implement integrated training. For improvement of lingual and communicative and professional competences, computer skills according to the requirements of the educational standards, modern educational environment of the university, the program of improvement of professional skills “The school of professional skills of Miras University teachers /Miras university teaching excellences school” is implemented for the higher-education teaching personnel. The primary task of the program is generalization and distribution of progressive educational experience, innovative technologies of professional education, upgrading of English language skills.
