The main goal of the sector is to ensure the effective management of educational and scientific activities, the implementation of basic and additional training programs aimed at consolidating theoretical knowledge in the basic and mainstreaming cycles of disciplines by actually fulfilling the duties of a specialist, acquiring practical skills and mastering the best practices of professional and organizational work in the profile future specialty.
The policy of the economy and management sector is determined by the strategic goals and mission of the University and is a system of measures, rules and guidelines for planning and managing educational activities and the effective organization of the training process aimed at improving the quality of education and the implementation of student-centered learning.
The training programs of our sector are aimed at people who combine ambitiousness, leadership skills, analytical mindset and sociability.
Our graduates are able to solve supply and logistics issues, establish production processes at the enterprise, communicate with customers and suppliers, deal with paperwork and project management. Teachers in our sector pay great attention to developing leadership skills, business acumen, and global perspectives. Our students are prepared to create winning strategies and strong teams, anticipate and respond to competitive threats, and contribute to the growth of their company.
 
 
Sector Strategic Goals and Objectives:
  • training of competitive personnel in accordance with the needs of the labor market, taking into account specifics, as well as on the basis of competencies defined by the national qualification framework and professional standards;
  • modernization of the content of training programs in the context of global trends (widespread development of a trilingual education model, the introduction of information and communication technologies in training activities, the development of academic mobility of both PTSS and students, the development of entrepreneurial education, the adjustment of training programs in accordance with the priorities of modernizing the country's economy);
  • development of human resources (improving the professional qualifications of scientific and pedagogical workers in the sector; rejuvenation of the staff of scientific and pedagogical workers in the sector);
  • Strengthening international cooperation, integrating the sector into the scientific research and innovation space;
  • improving the mechanism of commercialization of research and development results;
  • carrying out joint scientific research involving students;
  • the introduction of innovative technologies to identify and develop the creative potential of students.
The development and updating of training programs is carried out in collaboration with leading companies: Akarys Bekarys LLP; Akzhol Service Center LLP; Khanshayim Group LLP; Masters Group LLP, etc.
 
Scientific activity of the sector
The scientific activities of the sector include the following areas: participation in scientific research and scientific and methodological activities, preparation of monographs, publication of scientific articles in leading scientific journals and other publications, etc. Teachers participate in grants, which are a source of funding for scientific - pedagogical and innovative activities, in scientific conferences and forums of various levels (international, Kazakhstan, regional, city and inter-university), organized both on the basis of the university and other educational scientific institutions. Teachers actively involve students in scientific activities. So, in recent years, teachers together with students have published more than a dozen articles and participated in more than one scientific event. Teachers of the sector conduct active scientific activity in the field of studying the features of the project approach to managing the economic sphere.
The teaching faculty takes part in the implementation of the scientific research work: "Assessment of the competitiveness of the socio-economic development of the region and the development of a mechanism for its improvement", the topic is registered in the National Center for Science and Technology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state registration number: 0116РК00115.
The teaching faculty is also actively involved in project activities in the following areas: Development and implementation of environmental accounting systems in companies; Consulting services in the development of business plans, feasibility studies; Increasing the competitiveness of the region through the development of tourism services (for example, the Turkestan region and the city of Shymkent).
The results of research are reflected in monographs, in acts of implementation into production and the training process, in scientific publications of leading journals of KKSON RK, RSCI, Scopus (to date, there are more than 200 works in various publications that have been published).
 
Independent learning. Undergraduates of the sector annually take an active part in international, republican and inter-university student research conferences, where they were awarded with diplomas and letters of gratitude.
The research work of postgraduates (RWP) is one of the leading activities in the study at the magistracy. From the first weeks of study, postgraduates are engaged into RWP within the framework of the research topic of the sector, they also receive support from academic supervisors regarding chosen topic, determination of methodology, and research methods. In the sector, students have access to incoming information about research conferences, upcoming publications, etc. Students under the guidance of supervisors make presentations at conferences at various levels, publish articles in journals and conference proceedings.
 
Educational work
Educational work, along with educational, methodological and research work, is an important aspect in the learning process and formation of student personality.
The goal of educational work: the creation of a humanistic, highly moral environment of education, contributing to the formation of professional competence among students with an active civic position, meeting the needs and expectations of modern society.
Tasks: the formation of a sense of patriotism among young people, moral and spiritual development, support for young talents, the involvement of students in cultural, research and training processes, ensuring the social rights of young people, improving the training level of students.
Educational work in the sector is based on the following fundamental principles: research, systematic, continuous and consistent educational work; respect for the rights and freedoms of students, democracy in the approach to solving youth problems; unity of training and education, connection with the needs of social development; comprehensive coverage of all student youth regardless of gender, nationality, social status and age; a combination of individual, group forms of educational work; creating a favorable socio-psychological climate conducive to the effectiveness of the educational process.
The sector pays great importance to the healthy lifestyle of students. Curatorial hours about a healthy lifestyle, sporting events are held, where students themselves actively participate.
Conversations are held on the prevention of religious extremism with examples of how religious extremism is subsequently reflected, and what it leads to. Talks are also held with teachers and students about the fight against corruption and various offenses. Law enforcement officials are welcome.
Teachers and students of the sector regularly take part in social events and competitions at the university and city levels.
 
International Relations
Within cooperation with universities of near and far abroad, the sector has established close relations with foreign universities to exchange experiences and integrate into the global training space.
International agreements were concluded with universities: University of Management of Varna, Bulgaria; Bitlis Eren University, Turkey; Baltic International Academy, Latvia; Kyrgyz Economic University, Kyrgyzstan.
On the basis of the Agreements, the quality of research of students is improved annually, joint research publications, the exchange of experience in the field of educational and research activities are published, joint international research and practical conferences are held, both for students and teachers.
 
Material and technical base of the sector
For the high-quality organization of the training process and the implementation of research activities, the sector uses specialized classrooms and classrooms equipped with computers, multimedia equipment, interactive whiteboards, necessary handouts, etc.
